NO YORK: 2020-2021 by Gavin Haag
In March of 2020 when New York City went into lockdown, and the entire entertainment industry shut down (I'm an actor) and all hopes of getting a job stopped, I picked up my dusty 35mm to document my rapidly changing neighborhood. As the city and country faced multiple crises simultaneously: a pandemic, economic struggle, authoritarianism and social unrest, my relationship to my city changed and I witnessed the resilience of New Yorkers managing their new sense of normal.
